Alfresco dining.

The heavy snow blizzards began last Thursday as predicted so we were well prepared. The temperatures have recently dropped to well below freezing during the day and night but there has only been the odd flurry of snow since. The birds are frantic for food and fortunately their sacks of sunflower hearts and suet balls were delivered recently, some couriers are fantastic. The bird bath is constantly frozen and is now used as a very welcome feeding station.
The pheasant family are regular visitors to the alfresco restaurant although the smaller birds are a little wary of their size, mainly due to the constant appearance of the hungry sparrowhawk swooping down every now and again looking for lunch.
