Walk 3......Reservoir walk

This short walk starts from Camerons Cottage and goes up to a large picturesque reservoir. A very relaxing walk through the forest....perfect for pets.
Turn right out of the cottage and then left into Farigaig Forest. Pass a large reservoir and stroll through the forest. Then the track winds back down to Foyers and comes out by the Waterfall Café and shop. Back home to Camerons Cottage.

Walk 2......River walk

This is the walk which starts across the B852 road from Camerons Cottage and Glenlia Farm entrance. Walk along by the side of the river Foyers and then over a bridge which passes over a small waterfall and then past 3 large fields. You can then go straight on and it takes you on a longer walk across the Dell Estate to Whitebridge. Alternatively you can turn right up into the forest. A little way along you can turn right or left. Left takes you to Lower Foyers and then you can climb back up the hill by the falls and come out at the shop although the final drag up the hill is pretty hard work. If you turn left in the forest it takes you further up and you finally get to a viewpoint over Loch Ness.

Walks from Camerons Cottage. WALK 1. Farigaig Forest

From Camerons Cottage on Glenlia Farm - marked on the bottom left of the map as Glenlia Fm - turn right along the farm track and then left along the marked path up into Farigaig Forest. Pass Easter Boleskine wetlands pond on the left and the new build property below overlooking Loch Ness. Walk through the forest to the wee peaceful tree circled loch 'Lochan Torr an Tuill' and rest on the picnic bench. Continue to the high view point overlooking the village of Inverfarigaig. Then stroll down along the forest track and turn right down to Farigaig Pier jutting out on to Loch Ness. Carry on the forest track to access Loch Ness beach and rest on the chairs provided.
Keep going along the forest track to Foyers and home to Camerons.

This walk and the two following were kindly sent to us from guests who enjoy their stays at the cottage and are now regular guests. Perfect walks for dog owners.

Spring lambs.

We drove past the recently born Spring lambs running about on the fields near the village of Dores looking out on to Loch Ness. They were enjoying life on a sunny morning.
