Blue sky thinking
Wonderful clear blue sky all day but with a slight chill in the air. Should be lots of stars to see tonight. Walked down to Farigaig pier on Loch Ness and soaked up the amazing views. Most of the snow has now gone from the mountain tops at lower levels and enjoyed the feeling that Spring is on its way.

Snow around Loch Ness
Snow showers this past week making it very picturesque although quite icy under foot. The mountains around Loch Ness have a good coating of snow and the CairnGorm mountains must be having a good start to the ski and Winter sports season.

First snow of the Autumn
'Parts of the north of Scotland have taken on a distinctly wintry outlook with some of the first major snowfalls of the autumn.
The CairnGorm Mountain resort reported plenty of the white stuff around on Saturday, with snow lying above 2,460ft (750m).
There were also reports of snow falling on the Lecht.
The Met Office said the Highlands could have some more snow on the mountains into the evening and overnight.'
As reported in the local news.
